TV Asahi Saturday 1:30 A.M. anime slot “NUMAnimation” (Numanimation) has been decided to be integrated into “TV Asahi 24 nationwide network affiliate stations” from Oct.
Moreover, the late-night anime program “ANiMAZiNG!!!” (animizing) on ABC TV, which follows after “NUM Animation” at 2:00 A.M., has also been born. It has been revealed that “Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls” will be broadcast as the first work there from Oct.
“NUMAnimation” is based on the concept of “swamp” or “falling into the swamp”, which is used to describe a condition when you are deeply addicted to anime and games, it was created with a strong desire to hope the audience can be immersed in the broadcasting anime. It has started broadcasting in Apr. 2020.
The first anime title, which will be broadcast in Oct. after being integrated into the nationwide network, featuring Ono Kensho as one of the main casts, and it is an original anime produced by MAPPA, an animation production company that worked on “Yuri!!! on ICE”.
Detailed information will be announced at the voice actor variety “Say You to Yoasobi”, which will be live-streamed on “Anime LIVE Channel” on “ABEMA” on Aug. 13. Ono will appear as a guest in addition to the Thursday’s regular MC Namikawa Daisuke and Ishikawa Kaito.
Also, ABC TV’s “ANiMAZiNG!!!”, which means “Amazing wonderful anime starts on this slot”, will be a new nationwide network anime slot that combines the terms “anime” and “amazing”.
The first anime title to broadcast will be the world’s first full-scale women’s sports climbing anime “Iwa Kakeru!: Sport Climbing Girls”. It is an anime adaptation of “Iwa-Kakeru! -Climbing Girls-” and its sequel “Iwa-Kakeru!! -Try a new climbing-” by Ishizaka Ryudai that has been serialized in “Cycomi”.
