A special talk video with Nagase Ren (“King & Prince”) and voice actor Yamashita Daiki, dedicated to the movie “Yowamushi Pedal” that will be released nationwide on August 14, has been released. At the same time, it has been decided to distribute a clear file with the illustrations drawn by the author of the original manga, Watanabe Wataru, as a present for visitors.

“Yowamushi Pedal” is based on the comic with the same name drawn by Watanabe Wataru, which is serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion. High school student and otaku Onoda Sakamichi, who regularly rides from Chiba (his hometown) to Akihabara, joins Bicycle Sports Club. It is a sports youth manga that shows how people meet and go beyond their limits to challenge the race.

This time, a special talk “W Sakamichi” Nagase Ren, who played the main character, Onoda Sakamichi in the movie, and Yamashita Daiki, who also played the same character, Onoda Sakamichi, in the anime series “Yowamushi Pedal” for five years, has been released. This video consists of three parts, PART2 will be released on Aug. 4, PART3 will be released on the official website and official SNS on Aug. 5.

Nagase and Yamashita met for the first time at this talk. Sharing impressions about each other, Yamashita happily said, “He (Nagase) is a TV person, and sitting next to him now feels like I’m in a dream.I’m surprised that we like the same things and the same people are surrounding us!”, and Nagase commented, “I had seen some of Yamashita’s works, so I have the same feeling! I thought, ‘Oh, it’s that voice actor!’, I’m amazed. It’s incredible!”

After enthusiastically talking about how each of them plays Sakamichi, the fun of the plot development in the “Yowamushi Pedal”, discussingthe charm of the character, and watching part of the movie, Yamashita said, “I think the movie is full of strong points of ‘Yowamushi Pedal'”. Please feel the heat of “Yowamushi Pedal” at the cinema with me!”, and Nagase added, “As for Sakamichi, sometimes things you normally take for granted could be the key to unlock your talent for something else. I think this movie will make you want to try various things!”

Moreover, a collaboration clear file that combines the illustrations drawn by the author of the original, Watanabe Wataru, and the movie visuals will be distributed as a present for the visitors. In the illustration, the six members of the team Sohoku and the manager’s trunk are drawn in a refreshing way. It will be distributed in movie theaters nationwide in limited quantities on the first day of release, Aug. 14.
