"Kaguya-sama: Love Is War" Suzuki Masayuki is in charge of the OP song again!
It was announced that Suzuki Masayuki will be in charge of the OP theme song of season 2 of the TV anime, “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War”, following “Love Dramatic feat. Ihara Rikka” of the 1st season.
As with the previous song, the new OP is composed by Mizuno Yoshiki (a member of the rock band Ikimono-gakari) while Honma Akimitsu is in charge as the record producer. In addition, Suzuki Airi, who is active both as a model and solo artist, will join as a guest vocalist by creating a pop and funky number titled, “DADDY ! DADDY ! DO ! feat. Suzuki Airi”.
The love song by Suzuki will add a new coloring to the 2nd season of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War”.
Along with the announcement, comments from Suzuki Masayuki and Suzuki Airi have also been received.
The OP theme “DADDY ! DADDY ! DO ! feat. Suzuki Airi”, featuring the TV anime “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War”, will be released on Apr. 15, 2020.
Season 2 of “Kaguya-sama: Love Is War” is set to be aired on MBS, TOKYO MX, and other TV channels from Apr. 11, 2020.

I'm Suzuki Masayuki, a big newcomer to the anime song world.
I am honored to be in charge of the new opening theme for the 2nd season, following “Love Dramatic” of season 1. As in the previous song, we have created a strong team of music production, including Mizuno Yoshiki (a member of the rock band Ikimono-gakari) as the songwriter and Honma Akimitsu as the record producer. Also, under Honma Akimitsu's recommendation, we have welcomed Suzuki Airi to join our group as a guest vocalist, and have further powered up the pop and funky love song “DADDY ! DADDY ! DO !”.
It is a number to sing and dance with your friends, or to have an enjoyable game of love. I'd be happy if the song added more colors to the feelings of everyone who will be watching the anime and to the world of anime itself.
The year 2020 is the 40th anniversary of the debut of Chanel (Rats & Star). The jacket of the memorable new single “DADDY ! DADDY ! DO !” will start a collaboration with Kaguya-sama! I would also like to thank all the anime's staff for their illustrations of this year (Year of the Rat).

When I heard, that I was going to be working with Suzuki Masayuki on the song “DADDY ! DADDY ! DO ! feat. Suzuki Airi”, I was so surprised and delighted that I thought it was a dream.
It's a great honor to be called W. Suzuki. I feel nervous, but I'll do my best! I hope fans will enjoy it, including the choreography!!
