From “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni” (will be broadcast in Jul. 2020), which will be newly animated, character introductions for Maebara Keiichi, Ryugu Rena, Sonozaki Mion, Hojo Satoko and Furude Rika have been released. At the same time, re-broadcast for the previous series have been decided.
This time, the details of the familiar characters in the series have been revealed.
Maebara Keiichi, acted by Hoshi Soichiro, is a curious and hot-blooded guy who has moved from the city to Hinamizawa.
Ryugu Rena, acted by Nakahara Mai, is a classmate of Keiichi who has an obsession with all things “Cute” and has a habit of “Taking Home” things at random if found.
Sonozaki Mion, acted by Yukino Satsuki, is a senior student of Keiichi and Rena, whose words and behavior occasionally seem like an old man, but she is loved by everyone around her as she is up for anything and reliable.
Hojo Satoko, acted by Kanai Mika, is a junior student of Keiichi and Rena who talks in a grammatically strange preppy tone, hates to lose, and a brat.
Furude Rika, acted by Tamura Yukari, is a girl who plays the role of a shrine maiden at the “Watanagashi Festival” held in June every year, she has a mysterious atmosphere that she sometimes shows her coolness beyond her age.
The TV anime “Higurashi no Naku Koro ni” will be broadcast in Jul. 2020.
Also, the rebroadcast of the TV anime 1st season which was originally broadcast back in 2006 will start at TOKYO MX on Apr. 9.
