2 encyclopedias of music looking back on 40 years of the “Gundam Series” from a musical perspective, Lis Ani! “Gundam Series”, have been released. The magazine contains special talk sessions by Tomino Yoshiyuki x Moriguchi Hiroko and SUGIZO x Sawano Hiroyuki.

The “Gundam Series” reached its 40th anniversary in 2019. The series began with the TV anime “Mobile Suit Gundam” and it kept hammering out innovation with the times, leaving its marks in anime music history.

The musical attractions of all anime works from the “Gundam Series” will be completely covered and thoroughly analyzed in the special edition of the anime music magazine “Lis Ani!” under the “Encyclopedia of Music Series”.

The series’s music will be introduced through 2 magazines, one is Vol. 40.1 “-Universal Century-“, which includes the “Universal Century” animes from “Mobile Suit Gundam” and “Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam” to “Mobile Suit Gundam NT”, and the other is Vol. 40.2 “-Other Centuries-“, which includes the works from other universes such as “Mobile Fighter G Gundam” and “Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans”.

The contents of the magazines are; interviews with the creators who colored the works from the music side, comments from celebrities, and reviews of the main themes, BGMs, and inserted songs. “Lis Ani!” unravels the 40 years of “Gundam and music” from their unique perspective.

There are also special talk sessions by, Tomino Yoshiyuki x Moriguchi Hiroko, SUGIZO x Sawano Hiroyuki, Fukuda Mitsuo x Nishikawa Takanori, and Mizushima Seiji x Suganami Eijun (THE BACK HORN). Videos of their comments are released at the special website.
