The trailer of the latest "Minions" film released! Why did the Minions choose Gru as their boss?

The latest “Minions” film, “Minions: The Rise of Gru” has been given the Japanese title “Minions Fever” (premiering Jul. 17, 2020). Along with this announcement, the first trailer and new cut scenes have been revealed.

This is the latest film by Illumination Entertainment, which is known for the “Despicable Me” series, “Pet” series, “Sing”, and “Grinch”. The previous film “Minions”, which was released in 2015, reached 5.2 billion yen in sales revenue in Japan.
The new film will depict why the Minions, which exist only to serve the most despicable being, chose Gru, a kid that dreams of becoming a villain, as their boss. The answer lies in the 1970s…?

The first trailer shows Kevin, Stuart, and Bob, the trio from the previous film, finally meeting Gru as a kid and working their evil plans.

You will see the super unique villain team “Vicious 6”, Otto the new Minion with spiky hair that has a cute smile with braces, and a glimpse of their wild uproar.

The movie “Minions Fever” will be released nationwide on Jul. 17, 2020.
