The guest cast member for “Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet” (will be released on Apr. 17, 2020) has been announced to be the actress Hamabe Minami. Hamabe Minami plays Ishioka Ellie, the customer personnel of “SCMaglev”, one of the most important key words in the movie. Additionally, the comments from Hamabe and Producer Yonekura, who was responsible for the audtion, also arrived.

“Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet” is the latest movie and the sequel of the 23rd series “Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire”, which recorded the highest revenue among the series with 9.37 billion JPY.
The big incident occurs involving the largest sports event in the world which will be held once in 4 years called, “World Sports Games”, and “SCMaglev” which was invented at the same time as the opening ceremony of WSG and which can move 1000km/hour.
Behind the scenes is, Akai Shunichi observing the whole incident and FBI agents who are waiting for his orders.

Hamabe Minami plays 25-year old woman called Ishioka Ellie, a key character who is working as the customer personnel of SCMaglev.
She is full of passion and calls herself the idol of the Maglev connecting Shibahama Station and New Nagoya Station. She is also a careless person since she talked about the surprise performance in WSG at the information session. There are scenes where Conan and other characters give a wry smile to Ellie acting cute intentionally or overreacting.

Hamabe publicly states that she has been a “big fan of Conan”, and she was very excited to see Conan in the “Scarlet Room”, thered room filled with Conan goods.
“I was wishing to play anything related to Conan, even onomatopoeia ,or sounds made by birds or pigs. It’s a true honor to participate in the series, so I am super nervous. This is a great experience, so I will try my best not to make mistakes!”.

The movie “Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet” will be released on Apr. 17, 2020 at Toho-related movie theaters.

I love Conan since I was youngandI have been to Conan movies. I love the stories. I was often surprised by the criminal or the details of the incident when I was young, but I realized the coolness of the characters and the mystery of Black Organization now, so I still love the series.
When I received the offer, while I wished to be a part of Conan, I also hoped not to disturb the production as a fan…But when my role was decided, I was SO happy and called my mother immediately!

“Ishioka Ellie”, the character I play is the customer service of SCMaglev. It seems like she talks to Conan and other characters, so I am excited to do that. I always wished to take part in the series, even by onomatopoeia or the sounds of birds or pigs, but not only am I allowed to participate in the movie but receiving the role of human is such an honor that it makes me nervous.
I love Akai Shuuichi, who is the main character of this movie, but I also love Conan and Shinichi because I have been watching the series for a long time. I love how Conan speaks in a low voice like Shinichi when he attempts to protect people around him, and also like serious Shinichi as well. Actor and voice actor are totally different jobs, so I am not familiar with it, but I will train myself in my head not to become too nervous.
This is an enjoyable experience, so I will try my best not to be nervous.
