The anime song singer, Ooishi Masayoshi will suspend all activities involving his voice including singing, due to operation to remove the vocal cord polyp, from early Apr. to May 6, 2020. His condition is mild and the hospitalization from the surgery is only for a short time. He is planning to return with his solo performance held at “LINE CUBE SHIBUYA” on May 21.
Ooishi Masayoshi is an anime song singer known for singing and providing many anime theme songs such as, “Kemono Friends”, “SSSS.GRIDMAN”, and so on.
He got first place in the “Anime!Anime!” survey, “The musician who anime fans want to see in the Kouhaku Uta Gassen.”, which took place in 2019.
He is also known for his friendly personality, and when a photo was taken to check if the voice actor Sakurai Takahiro and Ooishi Masayoshi really look alike, fans reacted, “They're so alike! haha”, “They look too much like each other, haha”, “They're brothers aren't they?”
Ooishi Masayoshi himself has announced his situation on Twitter, and many fans have posted comments to cheer him up.
