The 3rd episode of “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story” has been on-air since Saturday, Jan. 18. “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story” is based on the smartphone game app of the same title, which depicts a whole new story of the 2011 anime, “Puella Magi Madoka Magica”.
In exchange for her wish coming true, the magical girl, Tamaki Iroha, keeps on fighting on her own. However, she had forgotten what her wish was and feels lost in her fighting days… A rumor saying “The magical girls will be saved if they go to Kamihama” spreads among the magical girls. The magical girls start to gather in Kamihama. The story of Tamaki Iroha regaining her wishes begin…
In the 3rd episode “Tomodachi ni Shite Gomen ne” (Sorry For Making You My Friend), Rena, Momoko, Iroha, and Yachiyo join together to bring back Kaede.
The transformation scene of the four, different from the original game app, was revealed, and it went viral on Twitter with many posts saying, “The quality of the transformation scene is awesome!”, “The transformation scenes are cool.”, “It reminded me of the transformation scene of Rebellion”, and “Momoko was cool, and they didn't forget to put tears in Yachiyo's eyes”.
The “Puella Magi Madoka Magica” fans were also excited by the ending. It was reminiscent of the 3rd episode of the first series, becoming the talk of the fans.
