“Evangelion” The temporary fencing around the construction of the ‘Holy Land Shinjuku Milano’ has an AR gimmick!? A special project for “Shin Eva”
In lieu of the release of “Shin Evangelion the Movie” (Jun., 2020) as the first “Big Shinjuku Tactic” a new feature has been introduced in the official application “EVA-EXTRA”. The new feature is an immersive content “Shin Evangelion the Movie message board AR appearance project”.
During this period, by holding the AR camera toward the temporary fencing of the construction site in the Holy Land of “Evangelion”, Shinjuku Milano, “Shin Evangelion the Movie message board”, which is an Eva design message board, will appear.
“Shin Evangelion the Movie message board AR appearance project” is a new hands-on feature that was introduced in the official application “EVA-EXTRA”, which is a collection of all the information of “Evangelion” that have been released in 2019.
Shinjuku Milano is a holy land for “Evangelion” that is known for being the main cinema for the screening of “Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth” and “The End of Evangelion” where the filming had been conducted inside.
Together with the AR function that was introduced in the application, a motif art of EVA Unit-01 has appeared on the temporary fencing of the construction site in Shinjuku Milano.
Not only does the art have an AR marker, it also comes with a gimmick where the Eva design message board, “Shin Evangelion the Movie message board” will pop up when you hold the AR camera towards it. By purchasing the message slot, the user can leave messages to their hearts’ content. It also possible that the comments from the official “Evangelion” and cast will appear on the message board.
“Shin Evangelion message board” is held between Dec. 24, 2019 ~ Mar. 31, 2021.
Furthermore, the development of the second and third “Big Shinjuku Tactic” are being scheduled.
