The teaser visual from upcoming TV Anime “Kingdom” (broadcast scheduled on Apr., 2020) has been released. In addition, the main staff supervised by the original manga artist Hara Yasuhisa has been announced.
“Kingdom” is originally a manga on the Warring States in China. It is currently serialized in the magazine “Weekly Young Jump”, and has exceeded 45 million copies published. The TV Anime's first season was broadcasted from Jun., 2012 to Feb., 2013, while the second season from Jun., 2013 until Mar., 2014. The first live-action movie which starred the actor Yamazaki Kento was released in Apr., 2019.
The story is set in China during the Spring and Autumn Periods, depicting the actions of a young boy named Xin (CV. Morita Masakazu) who aims to become the greatest general, and the young King Yin Zheng (CV. Fukuyama Jun), who will later become the first Emperor.
The released teaser visual depicts a scene of Xin fighting against the enemy army in the Hangu Pass, the main setting of the Coalition Invasion Arc. The scene of Xin raising his sword with an implacable gaze and blowing away his enemies one after another, show his strong will and the premonition of a fierce battle coming.
In addition, the main staff supervised by the original manga artist Hara Yasuhisa has been announced. The cast includes Imaizumi Kenichi as director ( known for TV Anime “Reborn!”), Abe Hisashi as character designer (TV Anime “Berserk”), and Takagi Noboru as screenplay director (TV Anime “Golden Kamuy・”Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Die Neue These”).
Everyone can't wait to see the most epic battle of “Kingdom” in the Coalition Invasion Arc.
The third season of the TV Anime “Kingdom” is scheduled to be broadcasted on NHK General TV from Apr., 2020.
