The production of the second season of the TV Anime "Dr. STONE" is confirmed. Together with that announcement, a special commemoration video and comments from Director Iino Shinya were released. The second season will depict the battle between Senku and the Ishigami Village and Tsukasa Empire.
The original work is a craft adventure genre which is currently serialized in "Weekly Shounen Jump" (Shueisha) by the duo Inagaki Riichiro and Boichi.
It depicts the genius young scientist, Senku using the power of science to rebuild the stone world, where all humanity were destroyed, after waking up a few thousand years after all humans were immediately turned to stone by a mysterious phenomenon.
In the special commemoration video, Senku, Chrome and Gen exchanging the fist of promise and displaying their firm determination toward the upcoming battle against Tsukasa Empire. The airing date for the second season has yet to be announced but do look forward to additional information.
