A variety of anime were broadcast and released in 2019. For TV anime it was a year of bounty with many being shown on air, and with almost 100 anime being released in theaters.

Currently Anime! Anime! is holding its annual anime general survey for this year. To start it off, we are looking back over 2019 and conducting a survey of readers asking about voice actors.
Whether they appeared in much-talked about anime, were in charge of the main character’s voice, we asked readers “which male voice actor made the biggest impact” and from a fan’s point of view “who is your favorite voice actor” both male and female that you would like to recommend to everyone. This time, we would like to give you the results as they currently stand.

During the survey period from Nov. 15 to Nov. 25, we received responses from about 500 people.
The ratio of males to females was about 25% for men and about 75% for women, with more women responding. In a breakdown of age groups, 50% of those who responded were aged 19 and under, and about 35% were in their 20s.
Now, we would like to present the interim results for “who is your favorite male voice actor”.

■ At the top of the ladder is Kaji Yuuki. Will he be able to take a double as the most recommended as well?

In 1st place is Kaji Yuuki. He received an approval rating of about 22%, which is the same result as in the “most favorite male voice actor”category, however the difference from 2nd place is smaller than in the “biggest impact” category, so there is still a possibility that the order may change. What will happen at the end of the voting?

In second place is Hanae Natsuki. His approval rate was about 15%. Although he was provisionally placed 5th in the “biggest impact” category, he received a much higher ranking here. This year his appearances in works such as “Demon Slayer” and “Hoshiai no Sora” really stand out.

3rd place is Miyano Mamoru with an approval rating of about 5%. Miyano-san is tentatively ranked 17th in the “favorite” category, however her significantly improved in the “biggest impact” category. In addition to appearing in theater screenings such as “Legend of the Galactic Heroes Die Neue These Star Revolt” and “No Longer Human”, he has also appeared in “Musical [West Side Story] Season 1”.
