“PSYCHO-PASS 3” is the latest series of “PSYCHO-PASS”, an original science fiction anime, which story has been set in a near future in which human psychological status are turned into numbers, and the police department who questioned about justice.
The cast members are Kaji Yuuki, playing Shindou Arata, Nakamura Yuuichi, playing Kei Mikhail Ignatov, Sakurai Takahiro playing Hinakawa Shou, Ootsuka Akio playing Todoroki Tenma, Suwabe Junichi playing Irie Kazumichi, Nazuka Kaori playing Kisaragi Mao, Sawashiro Miyuki playing Karanomori Shion, and Sakura Ayane playing Shimotsuki Mika.

ーWhat impression did you have for “PSYCHO-PASS” series itself?
“It describes the future which could really be happening. If the various things were made to be more efficient, the world can be like the anime. There are multiple jargon, but it is not unrealistic. The setting is very easy to understand, and instead of being real, the work is more realistic.”

ーWhat did you care a lot while playing Kei Mikhail Ignatov?

“I wish Kei and Arata looked like brothers, in one way. For example, the nuance is different between when Kei scold the subordinate and Arata. Kei always comment on actions of Arata, although he sometimes let the enforcer’s actions go. I care about distance of the characters like that.”

ーHow is the team like, which contains unique members of Unit One of the Public Safety Bureau’s Criminal Investigation Division?

“There is a contrast between the enforcers, who aims the dominators when they see a suspicious person, and Kei, who tries to fight with his own fists without using the dominator. The first episode especially made the contrast clear. Irie (Kazumichi) and Todoroki (Tenma) are not so honest, and we have no idea what Kisaragi (Mao) and Hinakawa (Shou) are thinking about. The cooperation between the stubborn enforcers and Kei and Arata are very interesting.”

ーThis time it is 60 minutes per episode, and the story will be more interesting and enjoyable. What did you feel when you were told that an each episode is 60 minutes?

“I was nervous when I heard that each episode of the TV series are 60 minutes. I knew that there are TV series that are 60 minutes, but since I believed that the staffs are the professionals of the 30 minute episodes, I was nervous if they are competent of doubling it. Not only I need further work, the staffs will be required harder work. When I saw the videos, time passes so quickly and I feel at ease now. ”

“What are the goals of the main characters, Arata and Kei? How would they accomplish the goal? There are several mysteries, and I am excited to see the end.”
