Haruhi, Gintama, Toradora! Which Anime Ending Themes Do You Recommend?

The anime streaming service, dAnime Store, released the results of the “Your Recommended Anime Ending Theme” survey they took in May 2019. Some of the anime included were The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Gintama’, Toradora!, Unbreakable Machine-Doll, City Hunter, Is the Order a Rabbit?, and Natsume’s Book of Friends.

“Hare Hare Yukai,” the ending theme to The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, has a charming dance scene. It was ranked as being one of the reasons fans became addicted to the show. “It may seem overwhelming, but it’s an addicting song, so this has to be part of the ranking!” stated one fan.

“Samurai Heart (Some Like It Hot!!)” from Gintama’, is a perfect song for the show’s universe. “Otose’s past. Jirocho’s past. Gintoki’s feelings. The feelings of everyone in Kabukicho. All of that is condensed into this one song. The phrase ‘samurai heart’ fits perfectly for the Gintama anime,” professed a fan.

Toradora’s! ending theme, “Orange,” is renowned for its lyrics. “It was used in an important scene in the anime, so when I hear this song I can clearly picture the scene in my mind! The lyrics do a great job presenting the heroines’ feelings about not being able to be true to themselves,” explains a fan.

“Maware! Setsugetsuka” from Unbreakable Machine-Doll is a shocking theme that makes an impression. “It has a Japanese-style sound that anime songs don’t usually have. The high-spirited lyrics, the chorus, and the ‘hana de hitotsu’ part of the climax always makes me want to sing along!”

City Hunter’s “Get Wild” is known for how cool it is. Fans love it so much that “people went to the movie that came out earlier this year because they wanted to see Get Wild at the end of it. It was used in City Hunter 2 and 3 as parts other than the ending for climactic scenes, too!”

Is the Order a Rabbit?’s “Tokimeki Poporon ♪” is cute and gives the listener energy.

”Chimame-tai is really cute! You have to pay attention to their rock, paper, scissors at the end!”

“Natsu Yuuzora” from Natsume’s Book of Friends is a “calm, healing song that really brings out the series’ worldview. It feels heartrending and nostalgic all at the same time. I’ve never heard a better ending song.”

On the dStore Anime page for the ranking, you can see the other chosen theme songs and comments.
