From Elcoco Co., Ltd., the highly acclaimed 1/7 scale figures of Frieren and Fern from “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” return as prizes. The figures will be gradually available at amusement facilities across Japan starting in mid-December 2024.
“Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End” is an anime adaptation of the manga written by Yamada Kanehit and drawn by Abe Tsukasa, currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday.” Set in a world after the Demon King has been defeated by heroes, the story follows the thousand-year-old mage Frieren, who embarks on a journey to “understand humans” following the death of her former companion, the hero Himmel.
The series has garnered popularity for its heartfelt dramas and quotes, the unique scenes that make you laugh, and the magic battles. The TV anime, which started in the fall of 2023, quickly became a hot topic. The original manga has surpassed 20 million copies in circulation, and related keywords have frequently trended on social media during the weekly anime broadcasts, reflecting its immense popularity.
The reappearing 1/7 scale figures depict Frieren, the thousand-year-old elven mage who defeated the Demon King, and her apprentice Fern, who accompanies her on the journey.
These figures recreate the moment when the two are traveling to Ende in a carriage, closely seated together. Upon their initial release, the figures received significant attention for their intricate detailing, with many remarking that they were “too good to be prize items.”
The scale figures are meticulously crafted and painted, with even the wrinkles in their clothing carefully represented.
