A diorama that reproduces the cityscape of the space colony “Heliopolis” from the “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” series has been announced. Pre-orders are currently being accepted at “Premium Bandai”.
The “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED” series had been broadcast on TV from October 2002 to September 2003, and is said to be the “First” Gundam of the 21st century. The story is set in C.E. (Cosmic Era) 71, the story reveals suffering and growth of the Coordinator Yamato Kira and childhood friend Athrun Zala through the war between genetically modified humans (Coordinators) and conventional humans (Natural), who have been divided into the military organization ZAFT and the Earth Allied Forces and fight.
Fukuda Mitsuo was the director, and Hirai Hisashi was in charge of characters’ design. In addition to conventional Gundam fans, it has gained wide support from teens and female fans, becoming a big hit.
The product released now is “Realistic Model Series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (for 1/144 HG series) G Structure [GS06] Heliopolis Battle Stage” that reproduces the cityscape of “Heliopolis” from the opening stage of “Mobile Suit Gundam SEED”. It is a diorama model that allows you to easily display the 1/144 Gunpla HG series.
It is a pre-painted semi-finished kit specification that even beginners can easily assemble, and you can enjoy recreating various scenes, such as the confrontation scene with Jin in episode 2, just by displaying the Gunpla series (sold separately).
In addition, some of the buildings in the set and attached support arms are unified with 3mm standard joint pins, so you can change the layout as you like according to the exhibits and space.
Advanced users and genuieve users can use the included marking decals to make even more detailed.
“Realistic Model Series Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (for 1/144 HG series) G Structure [GS06] Heliopolis Battle Stage” is priced at 10780 JPY (tax included). Pre-orders are currently available at “Premium Bandai”, and the product will be shipped in September 2023.
