Stage play “Fullmetal Alchemist” will have an Osaka and Tokyo performance in March 2023. This time, the visual of Winry Rockbell along with Izumi Curtis, Lust, Envy, Scar, Solf J. Kimblee, and King Bradley was released as part of the 3rd character visuals.
“Fullmetal Alchemist” is the pioneer of the dark fantasy manga, written by Arakawa Hiromu, and serialized on Monthly “Shonen Gangan” from 2001 to 2010. It is also known as “Hagaren”, and gained a large popularity from various people of different age and genders due to the battle action with the alchemy, the large scale, precise story featuring the history and countries, and the liveliness of the unique, charming characters.
The manga has exceeded 8 million copies in circulation worldwide, and it was depicted in various format, such as the TV anime, theatrical film, game, and live action films with the latest smartphone game being released in summer 2022. Stage play “Fullmetal Alchemist” was announced as a new development, and this is the first stage play for this series.
The director and script writer for this stage play is Ishimaru Sachiko, who has handled and performed passionately various works from musical to a straight play, and trained the young actors, as well as being the existence that is leading the stage play industry in late years. Joining along with her are the creators and casts that are active in entertainments of various genres.
The casts for the Elric brothers are handled by three casts that were casted from the audition that was held over four months. The main lead, Edward Elric is played by Isshiki Yohei and Hirono Ryouta while Alphonse Elric is played by Mashima Shuto.
In the 3rd character visuals, it was revealed that Winry Rockbell is played by Okabe Rin (AKB48), Scar by Hoshi Tomoya, and King Bradley by Tatsumi Takuro. The remaining revealed casts are Ono Hikari as Izumi Curtis, Sao Kurama as Lust, Hiramatsu Raima as Envy, and Suzuki Shogo as Solf J. Kimblee.
Stage play “Fullmetal Alchemist” will open its curtains at Osaka’s Shin Kabuki-za from March 8 to March 12, 2023, and at Tokyo’s Nippon Seinen-kan Hall from March 17 to Mach 26, 2023. Do look forward to further information.
