Voice actor Saito Souma has announced that he wrote his first novel, “Isana,” which will be posted in the first issue of the new magazine “spin” (published by Kawade Shobo Shinsha), on sale September 27, 2022.

Saito Souma is a voice actor who has played as Yumeno Gentaro in “Hypnosis Mic -Division Rap Battle-“, as Kujo Tenn in “IDOLiSH7”, and as William James Moriarty in “Moriarty the Patriot”, etc. In 2022, he played as Kanemaki Kojiro in “Orient”, as Lie Ren in “RWBY: Ice Queendom”, and as Shu Ogata in “Engage Kiss”, etc. He began his career as an artist in 2017, and published a collection of essays entitled “Healthy and Cultural Minimum Standard of Living” in 2018.

Saito announced the writing of his first novel on “Typewriters: The World of a Writer” broadcasted on Fuji TV on August 20, 2022. The title is “Isana,” which is a short story of 50 sheets of 400-character manuscript paper. Saito said in the program that the story is “a little mysterious,” and that “he looks forward to working in acting, music, and also writing.”

Saito’s first novel “Isana” will be published in the first issue of a new magazine “spin,” which will go on sale on September 27. The magazine is an all-genre small literary magazine with the concept of “bookmarking reading in daily life,” and each issue will be delivered by a team of writers that transcends genres.
