“One Piece” Luffy, and Kid and Other Rivals Gather as “Cats”! The 2nd “MEGA CAT PROJECT” Mascots are now Available
The second “MEGA CAT PROJECT”, in which popular characters from the “One Piece” series including Luffy, Kid, Enel, and Doflamingo are transformed into a “cat”, will be released. A box of 8 is available for pre-order at the Hobby Online Shop “AmiAmi”.
“One Piece” is a blockbuster comic that represents Japan, with Eiichiro Oda’s serialization in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 1997, which has sold over 490 million copies worldwide. The story centers on the “Straw Hat Pirates” led by the main character Monkey D. Luffy, and their adventure in search of “One Piece”, a treasure left by the legendary “Pirate King” Gol D. Roger.
The TV anime series began broadcasting in October 1999, and 1,000 episodes have been broadcast by November 21, 2021. The latest film “One Piece Film: Red” is set to be released on August 6, 2022, and a Netflix original live-action series “One Piece” will start soon.
“MEGA CAT PROJECT One Piece Nyan Peace Meow! Luffy and Rivals” is the 2nd installment of the mascot series “MEGA CAT PROJECT” in which all the popular characters from “One Piece” are transformed into adorable “cats”.
In addition to Monkey D. Luffy, the lineup includes Eustass Kid, Crocodile, Smoker, Rob Lucci, Enel, Donquixote Doflamingo, Charlotte Katakuri, and other powerful enemies who stood against him.
The cute and small mascots are around 30 mm in height and can fit in a pocket, and each of them comes with a character sheet. The more you collect, the more accurately you will be able to reproduce the fun party.
The reference price for “MEGA CAT PROJECT One Piece Nyan Peace Meow! Luffy and Rivals” is 5,720 JPY including tax for a box of 8 pieces. The release date is scheduled for late November 2022.
