A collaborative event between “Detective Conan” and ‘Namco’ will be held at about 210 Namco amusement facilities throughout Japan. Crane game prizes that allow players to enjoy “another face” of Rei Furuya, as well as novelties with an original design inspired by butterflies and flowers will be available.
“Detective Conan” is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama that was first serialized in “Weekly Shōnen Sunday” in 1994. Since then, the series has published 100 volumes and sold over 250 million copies.
The story revolves around a high school detective, Kudo Shinichi, who is transformed into a child by a mysterious black organization. As “Conan Edogawa”, he takes on numerous difficult cases.
The TV anime began broadcasting on January 8, 1996. In January 2021, it celebrated its 25th anniversary, and following that, the number of broadcasts reached 1000 in March of the same year.
The movie “Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween,” which has been released on April 15, 2022, has Rei Furuya as the main character, and the “police academy members” including Jinpei Matsuda, Kenji Hagiwara, Hiromitsu Morofushi, and Wataru Date, who have already died in the past cases, also make appearances. On top of that, we cannot miss the depiction of the romance between Detective Takagi and Detective Sato.
In the “Detective Conan x Namco Campaign 2022”, character items will be available as crane game prizes including a chibi-style stuffed toy of Bourbon, a member of the “Organization of the Black” and also another face of Rei Furuya, and a cushion featuring the costume of Toru Amuro, a private detective who works at the cafe Poirot.
Moreover, visitors who insert 500 JPY into designated machines during the campaign will receive a Namco limited edition novelty with butterflies and flowers design.
The “Detective Conan x Namco Campaign 2022” is being held from April 15 to May 29, 2022, at approximately 210 Namco amusement facilities nationwide in Japan. For details, please visit the special page.
