The 4th collaboration of desserts between the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” and the cake ordering website “Cake.jp” was revealed to be tuncarons! The sales began on the official website from February 25th, 2022.
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a hit comic series produced by Akutami Gege and serialized on Weekly Shonen Jump, in which the total number of publications has exceeded 60 million copies.
The 1st season of the TV anime was broadcasted from October 2020 to March 2021. Also, “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie,” a film that depicted the prequel of the TV anime titled “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Toritsu Jujutsu Koutou Senmon Gakkou”, was released in December 2021, and its box office revenue went over 11.1 billion yen. The official website has already announced the broadcast of the 2nd season of the TV anime in 2023.
The new collaboration items are “tuncarons”, a new type of macarons born in Korea that is drawing attention nationwide. It has a generous amount of cream between the colorful macaron shells, and its impactful appearance attracts the young generation in particular, who always wants to be up to date.
In this collaboration, Jujutsu Kaisen and Cake.jp chose the tuncaron created by Macapresso, a popular macaron shop introduced by a lot of media.
On the package, there are the protagonist, Itadori Yuji, and the undisputed King of Curses, Sukuna. Macapresso expressed the two-sidedness of Itadori Yuji and Sukuna by sandwiching the cream with an orange-flavored and berry-flavored tuncaron shell on each side.
The customers will receive an illustrated novelty of Itadori and Sukuna. Those who purchased the tuncaron via the official website of “Cake.jp” will get a postcard, and those who bought it at Macapresso will get a coaster. They will randomly get one of two types for each novelty item.
“TV Anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” Itadori Yuji and Sukuna’s Tuncaron” is a package of six tuncarons of three different types, and its price is 3,300 yen (tax and postage excluded.) How about enjoying some desserts with the anime?
