“Uma Musume Pretty Derby” is a cross-media content that is developed by Cygames. It features the activities of the beauties “Uma Musume” that inherited the name of the racing horses that have created legendary races and made outstanding records.
The first season of the TV anime was broadcast in April 2018 and the second season is broadcast in January 2021. After that, the release of the smartphone game in February 2021 has become a hot topic. The cast members have also appeared and performed on music programs on TV, and “Uma Musume Pretty Derby” was chosen as the annual grand winner of “Online Trending Words 100”, which is a joint project between Dwango and Pixiv to decide the trending online word of 2021.
