All 24 episodes of the TV anime “xxxHOLiC” are free on YouTube! Director Mizushima Tsutomu and Oohara Sayaka-san commented “I guess this is ‘inevitable’.”
It was announced that the first season of the TV anime “xxxHOLiC”, which the live-action movie adaptation has been announced, is currently available on the YouTube channel “Full☆Anime TV” until January 24, 2022. After this was announced, director Mizushima Tsutomu and Oohara Sayaka-san looked back at the broadcast period.
“xxxHOLiC” is based on the dark fantasy manga by the manga artist team CLAMP, known for “Cardcaptor Sakura”, etc., and the serialization was started in 2003 on “Weekly Young Magazine”.
Watanuki Kimihiro, who is troubled over his ability to see ayakashi (spirits), encountered the owner of the mysterious “shop” Ichihara Yuuko and started working at the shop as the “price” to pay to remove his ability…
The anime was directed by Mizushima Tsutomu, known for “Girls und Panzer”, and Watanuki Kimihiro is voiced by Fukuyama Jun-san while Ichihara Yuuko is voiced by Oohara Sayaka-san.
Also, the live-action movie adaptation was announced on November 23, 2021, and the director is Ninagawa Mika, known for live-action movie of “Sakuran” and “Helter Skelter”. The actors are Kamiki Ryuunosuke-san as Watanuki Kimihiro and Shibasaki Kou-san as Ichihara Yuuko.
After the live-action movie adaptation was announced, the 24 episodes of the first season of the TV anime were made available on the YouTube channel “Full☆Anime TV” on the next day, which is November 24.
Then, director Tsutomu looked back toward the broadcast period via the tweet on Twitter saying “This is my first directed work after being a freelancer. I guess this is ‘inevitable’…? It had allowed me to learn a lot from this anime.”
At the same, Oohara-san also commented “This is sort of like my first main character role as well as the start of the precious bond with CLAMP. And no matter how many times I looked back, I love everything about it. I’m also trembling from the memories of the various past feelings.”
The first season of the TV anime “xxxHOLiC” is currently available on the YouTube channel “Full☆Anime TV” until January 24, 2022.
