“Say You to Yoasobi Friday ‘Seki Tomokazu X Hatanaka Tasuku’ #25” featuring the voice actors Seki Tomokazu and Hatanaka Tasuku was broadcast at 10:00 PM – 11:30 PM, on October 22, 2021, on the “Anime LIVE Channel” of the new futuristic TV “ABEMA”. The guest of this broadcast is Morikubo Showtaro, the MC of “Say You to Yoasobi WEEKEND”.
Seki is absent during the opening talk as he is preparing for the next corner, so the talk was handled by the new and old Friday co-MC pair, which are the current season co-MC Hatanaka and the previous season co-MC Morikubo.
The cheerful talk progressed as it revolved around Morikubo’s imitation of Seki and the arguing on the “ex-partner” and “current partner”, with the live broadcast of Seki at “a certain place”.
Then, the scene of Seki checking his eyesight was shown and the project of the broadcast “The first! Let’s create the glasses for Seki Tomokazu!” was announced. In the previous season, Seki teased Morikubo as Morikubo started to sense his “age-related long-sightedness”, but as Seki has also felt that he was getting the same sense, it resulted in the birth of this project. After the checking has ended, Seki gathered up with Morikubo and Hatanaka, and they headed toward a different studio with the display of more than 50 types of glasses frames.
While receiving advices from the eyewear specialist Sawada Takehiko, the three of them enjoyed the glasses selection with the comments of “This has a retro feels”, “This makes me feel like a literary master”, and “I would prefer something more aggressive”. In the end, the round-type glasses with a perfectly circular lens and baseframe were chosen. The glasses will be delivered once it is done, and it seems that Seki is also looking forward to the completion of his first glasses as well.
In the second half of the program, the corner “I want everyone to know! The world of Showtaro’s concert” was held. On October 24 (2 days after this program’s broadcast), the online live to commemorate Morikubo’s 20th artist anniversary was held, and they talked of the highlights of it.
When asked about the highlights about the concert, Morikubo revealed the footage performance that can only be done via an online stream with “It was decided that this concert will be held online during the first discussion, so I suggested having a performance that fully utilizes a livehouse. Not only the singing on the stage, but I had also instructed on the angle of the camera at the movement of the members at the certain scene as I wanted to make it seem like a movie is being created.” It followed with a message to the fans “As there is a hidden meaning behind each song from all the songs throughout the 20 years, so please check it out.”
Furthermore, toward Seki’s question on the concert format after the COVID-19 has calmed down, Morikubo revealed his true intention, saying “I want to have a concert with the audiences being visible” along with his thoughts toward the future concert “However, it might be best to have both a physical concert and online streaming. I believe it would be a good idea to show the impressive footage during the streaming as the online viewer might attend ‘the physical concert sometime’ after seeing the atmosphere of the physical concert. At the same time, I also wanted to make this the last online streaming concert as well.”
