The Blu-ray & DVD of “Violet Evergarden: The Movie” was released on October 13, 2021. To commemorate the release of this product, the sale of the publication “Violet Evergarden ~Last Letter~” that contains the 8 “original short stories” that were distributed as the visitor’s novelty during the screening with new original stories have been announced. The pre-orders for this made-to-order product are currently available.
“Violet Evergarden: The Movie” is an animated film that was released in 2020, where the production is by Kyoto Animation while the director is Ishidate Taichi. This film that is known as a tear-jerking anime is a big hit that recorded a total of 2.1 billion JPY in terms of box revenue and it was awarded the Excellent Animation of the Year of Japan Academy Film Prize.
The Blu-ray & DVD of “Violet Evergarden: The Movie” has finally been released today. The product is available in the regular edition with the disk on the film and Blu-ray only special edition with the disk on the film & a UHD-BD. The novelties for both the version are the same, which are an originally illustrated special case, full-colored 66 pages booklet, an audio commentary from the cast members, and etc.
To commemorate the release of the Blu-ray & DVD, the made-to-order new publication “Violet Evergarden ~Last Letter~” has been announced. This publication will contain the 8 “original short stories” that were distributed as the visitor’s novelty during the screening of “Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll” and “Violet Evergarden: The Movie”, the story that was included in the Blu-ray & DVD of “Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll”, with 2 new original stories. This will be a limited product, and it will come in a special case.
Also, the Blu-ray that contains the scenes of “Violet Evergarden Orchestra 2021” that was held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA, on August 14 and 15, 2021, will be released on January 19, 2022.
