Macross Frontier’s Sherryl & Ranka to Finally Perform onto the Whole World! First Live Concert in 11 Years Streams Worldwide
Macross Frontier’s first concert in 11 years “Macross Frontier Galaxy Live 2021[Revenge] ~ Madamada Futari wa Kore kara! Watashitachi no Uta wo Kike!!” (Happening on November 10, 2021) will be broadcast live across theaters in Japan. In addition, Sherryl & Ranka’s performance is to be also livestreamed worldwide for the first time.
“Macross Frontier”, which aired in 2008, is the TV anime that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the science-fiction franchise “Macross”.
The TV series was followed by the movies “Macross Frontier Movie: The False Songstress”, and “Macross Frontier Movie: The Wings of Goodbye” released respectively in 2009 and 2011. Now, after 10 years since its last theatrical adaptation, the series will feature a completely new movie titled “Macross Frontier Short Film: Labyrinth of Time”, which is set to premiere ion October 2021, alongside the release of the first single in 3 years, “Labyrinth of Time”. It’s a title that even now appeals to loyal fans.
Originally scheduled for February 2021, the postponed concert “Macross Frontier Galaxy Live 2021[Revenge] ~ Madamada Futari wa Kore kara! Watashitachi no Uta wo Kike!!” will now take place at Makuhari Event Hall in Japan on November 10, being the first “Macross Frontier” series standalone live concert in 11 years.
Same as past live performances, the concert will feature May’n as Sherryl Nome, and Nakajima Megumi as Ranka Lee.
Along with the live screening in theaters, the duo Sherryl & Ranka’s performance will also be livestreamed worldwide.
Since “Macross Frontier” is widely popular outside of Japan, international fans will surely mark their presence during the livestream.
Concert tickets and live screening theaters are both priced at 4,200JPY (tax included), and the concert startsstarting at 19:00 on November 10.
