The first original anime series “What If?” by Marvel Studios will be released. It has been announced that Morikawa Toshiyuki and Nakamura Yuichi will appear in the dubbed version. Voice actors who have been working passionately on heroic dramas will become a new cast, and an unknown story will unfold.
“What If …? is an original anime by the staff who worked on Marvel Studios’ movies, including Kevin Feige as executive producer, and Bryan Andrews, who worked on storyboards for numerous works such as the “Avengers” series.
Based on the incidents that happened in the movies, the characters of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) could be under the theme of “What if the fate of heroes would make another turn at that time…?” It’s a series that tells the story of various & amp; ldquo; what if.
Miyake Kenta, who dubbed Thor, the god of thunder from the “Mighty Thor” series, said, “I am happy to be able to play a new Thor again because it is the first animated work of Marvel Studios. I’m excited. Thor is a god, but in “Avengers: Endgame”, he loses Loki and his friends, which makes him desperate and depressed, and this self-deprecating makes him very human-like and it is one of his charms. Please look forward to what kind of charm he can see in this work.”
Miyauchi Atsushi, who played the role of Hulk, commented, “I’ve never thought that I would play the Hulk in anime, so I myself enjoyed playing the new Hulk in the world of “What if?”. The Hulk / Bruce Banner is very interesting because of his overwhelming power of the Hulk and the extreme human delicacy of Bruce. But in “Avengers: Endgame”, various things have blown out, and I’m looking forward to a new appearance of Bruce, who controls the Hulk, in this work.”
Mizuki Nana, who plays the role of Captain Marvel, said, “Captain Marvel is a very cool woman who has a strong will and always stand up, so I’m happy to be able to play her again in the anime. I’m looking forward to seeing what the world is waiting for, as the title “What If …?”, and what Captain Marvel will do.”
Morikawa Toshiyuki, who is in charge of the Japanese dubbing of Iron Man from this work, commented, “I like Iron Man, and I was always watching him, so I was wondering what kind of the story of Iron Man will unfold in “What If …? Like all the fans, I always check out to who will play a certain role, so when I got it, I was surprised and honored. I’ll do my best and I wanted to play it firmly. I confidently challenged to voice him.”
About his performance, “I was warmly welcomed, and I worried about my work after the success of Fujiwara Keiji, but the director said, ‘I wish you could play Tony that you Morikawa-san imagens’, and I felt like Fujiwara-san said, ‘You should do it’. I had various feelings, but in the end I decided to make my own Tony.”
Marvel Studios original anime series “What If …? will be distributed simultaneously in Japan and the United States from August 11 on Disney’s video distribution service “Disney Plus”. Also, to commemorate the release, a campaign is underway to receive comments from the Japanese voice actors in a reply to hear voices will be held on the official Twitter of Marvel Studios.
