On July 29, five days prior to the release of “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie” (scheduled for December 24, 2021), the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”’s official Twitter account tweeted a mysterious post that said, “Midnight of July 30, 2021 #Jujutsukaisen0themovie” and a mysterious countdown started on the official website. It became a hot topic on Twitter timelines.
The original work of “Jujutsu Kaisen” is a dark fantasy by Akutami Gege, which is currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”.
It depicts the struggle between the curses produced from the negative emotions of humans and the curse mages getting rid of them. TV series season 1 was broadcast from October 2020 to March 2021.
On upcoming December 2021, the preliminary story of “Jujutsu Kaisen” called “Jujutsu Kaisen 0: Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical College” (a.k.a. Volume 0) will be adapted into a movie.
On 6:00 PM of July 29, the TV anime “Jujutsu Kaisen”’s official Twitter account tweeted a mysterious post that said, “Midnight of July 30, 2021 #Jujutsukaisen0themovie” and the mysterious countdown started on the official website. It became a hot topic on Twitter timelines.
As a response to this event, the fans on Twitter commented, “Is this the announcement for Okkotsu-senpai’s voice actor??”, “It can be the voice actor announcement…I am excited because I love Okkotsu-senpai”, “Voice actor?? The voice actor will finally be announced…? My heart beats so hard”, and they seemed to predict it was the announcement for the protagonist Okkotsu Yuuta’s voice actor information. “Voice Actor Announcement” also ranked into Twitter’s trend momentarily.
