Therefore, Anime!Anime! conducted a reader survey titled ‘Among the titles to be released in the summer of 2021, which anime do you have the highest hope for?’. During the survey period from June 3 to June 10, a total of 1,426 responses were received. For the gender ratio, the females were the majority with about 60% while the males were about 40%. For the age distribution, we received the majority of responses from the young readers: about 40% were from teens, and about 40% were from those in their 20s.

1st place
1st place went to “Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan”. The support rating was about 17%.
This title is based on a comedy manga series, which is currently serialized online via “comic POOL”, a digital manga magazine. The protagonist Omote Uramichi appears in the educational program as a young man in charge of physical exercises, and his two-sided personality attracts attention. The comments received include, “I
like the contrast between him being on the dreamlike stage, and him showing a dark side in real life. I’ve been eagerly looking forward to its anime adaptation”, and “I cannot wait to see Uramichi-san’s grown-up dark side”.
In addition, many readers mentioned the main cast members, including Kamiya Hiroshi as a protagonist, Miyano Mamoru, Mizuki Nana, Sugita Tomokazu, and Nakamura Yuuichi, saying “The cast members are fantastic, and I am looking forward to how they play such unique characters”.

2nd place went to “Idolish7: Third Beat!”. The support rating was about 9%.
The comments for the new series from “Idolish7”, include “With each release of new series, the quality improves, and I am looking forward to the performance that cannot be expressed in games”. and “Both Season 1 and Season 2 were beyond my expectations, so I am pretty sure that this would be great again”.
Season 3 consists of 2 cours with the 1st cour to be released in July.

3rd place went to “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid”. The support rating was about 8%.
This title is based on a manga, which is currently serialized in “Monthly Action”. Season 2 of TV anime depicts a hectic comedy where Tohru, a female dragon, comes to Kobayashi-san’s house, as a maid. The comments received include, “The characters are not only cute, but also harsh, which is funny”, and “It beautifully depicts the feelings of Tohru and Kobayashi-san. I was moved by such depiction”. The readers said that they were attracted by season 1. The latest titles by Kyoto Animation occupied the top 3.
For male readers only, 1st place went to “The Detective Is Already Dead”, 2nd to “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid”, and 3rd to “Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid”. For female readers only, 1st place went to “Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan”, 2nd to “Idolish7”, and 3rd to “Heaven Official’s Blessing”.
The comments for “The Detective Is Already Dead” include, “I have high expectations as its novel was great” and “I got captivated by PV!”.
The comments for “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” include, “I want it to keep it up just like 1st cour of season 2! New characters are appearing, and I have very high expectation for Rimuru, gaining more and more power!”
The comments for “Heaven Official’s Blessing” include, “This is based on Mo Xiang Tong Xiu-sensei’s work, who wrote ‘Mo Dao Zu Shi'” and “I am happy that we have Japanese dubbed version!” Some readers voted for the titles based on a novel.
