Easter has become popular in Japan as an event in April.

It is the day to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus and occurs on the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs after the vernal equinox.

A Bunny is a symbol of Easter, and is said to bring Easter eggs. There are many bunny characters in anime and games, so who is the most popular character?

So, here at Anime!Anime!, we conducted the annual reader survey titled ‘Who is your favorite “bunny” character?’. During the survey period from March 21 to March 128, a total of 180 responses were received. For the gender ratio, the females are the majority with about 75% while the males are about 25%. For the age distribution, we received the majority of responses from the readers of younger ages: about 60% are from minors, and 25% are in their twenties.

■”Gintama” and “Is the Order a Rabbit?” tied for the 1st place!
1st place
1st place went to Kagura “Gintama” and Tippy “Is the Order a Rabbit?”. The support rating was about 8%.

Kagura is a young girl who belongs to the Yato Clan. Her ranking has gone from 11th in a tie last year. On 17th place, her brother Kamui has been ranked. The comments received: ‘Her incredible jumping power is just as a bunny.’ ‘She is cute as a member of Yato Clan, her strength is impressive.’

Tippy is a Rabbit House’s mascot and has won 1st place for two consecutive years. Our readers left comments for her voice as well as her cuteness. The comments received: ‘Speaking of bunny, she immediately comes to my mind. She is fluffy and adorable.’ ‘She is cute, but her voice is low. I love it.’

3rd place
3rd place went to Iruma Jyuto “Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle”. The support rating was about 6%, and his ranking has gone from 11th in a tie last year.

iruma Jyunto is a member of Mad Trigger Crew. Our readers voted for him as his name include the letter ‘兎’, which means a rabbit. The comments received ‘He is called “Usa-chan”, and his rapping and MC name include Rabbit, which is cute as he seems to like his name 兎.’

On the 2021 survey, “Gintama”(the movie is now showing) and
“Is the Order a Rabbit?” (Season 3 in 2020) have tied for 1st place. 11 characters tied for 17th place, making the survey this year incredibly close.
