“Jujutsu Kaisen” Vol. 15 (to be released on March 4) gets 1.5 million copies for the 1st edition. The total number of published copies has reached 36 million.
“Jujutsu Kaisen” is a dark fantasy by Akutami Gege, currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump”.
The latest volume, vol. 15, (to be released on March 4) received 1.5 million copies for the 1st edition, and the multiple reprints have brought the total number of copies published throughout the series to an astonishing 36 million (including e-books).
Also, the first official fan book, produced with the full support of the author Akutami, “Jujutsu Kaisen Official Fan Book” will be released on the same day.
The book includes the “Chapter of Characters” in which Akutami himself answers questions about the 70 plus characters, the “Chapter of Settings” which features an interview with Akutami about the “settings” of the world of “Jujutsu Kaisen” such as the history of the Jujutsu Society and how the cursed techniques work, the “Chapter of Commentary on Each Episode” in which Akutami explains each episode from the comics vol. 0 to vol. 8 episode 64 while looking back at his thoughts when he wrote them, and an interview with Kubo Taito, the author of “Bleach”, who had a great impact on Akutami. It is a must-see for the Jujutsu Kaisen fans.
“Jujutsu Kaisen” vol. 15 is priced at 440 JPY (tax included) and “Jujutsu Kaisen Official Fan Book” is priced at 800 JPY (tax included). Both will be released on March 4.
