The latest book by Gekidan Mesuneko, a four-member unit known for their best-selling book “Rouhi Zukan” and the manga and live-action drama “Dakara Watashi wa Make Suru”, “Issho Oshitai! Watashitachi, Yuru Kenko Hajimeteita” will be released on February 10, 2021.

“Otaku life” requires surprising physical stamina: watching anime all night, waiting in line for hours to buy items, no time to get refreshed on weekends because of watching Matinee and Soiree, and traveling across the country to attend events, etc. What these busy otaku girls need is “health”.

In this book “Issho Oshitai! Watashitachi, Yuru Kenko Hajimeteita”, Gekidan Mesuneko, who are slightly worried about continuing their current lifestyle, and a health otaku physician named Ishihara Niina thoroughly explain what is necessary for “easygoing health” in order to enjoy otaku activities for the rest of their lives.

The 10 members, who have different health concerns and genres of interest, confessed what kind of life they lead and what kind of problems they are facing in their otaku activities: “My diet is a mess”, “I’m losing my strength due to lack of exercise”, ‘I’m not getting enough sleep due to late-night radio,” and “My mental state fluctuates due to the lack of physical events”. The book also includes a report on the “real health condition and health consciousness of otaku girls” based on a survey of about 800 people.

It also introduces “easygoing health methods” that can be started right away.
