Most of the anime works that are featured during the fall of 2020, ranging from original episodes to sequels, have already been released.
Here at Anime!Anime!, we conducted a readers’ survey titled, ‘What anime among titles of fall of 2020 would you recommend “now”?’ same as last year. After the release, some of you will have different opinions. So, which anime is the most recommended now?
Here at Anime!Anime!, we conducted a readers’ survey titled, ‘What anime among titles of fall of 2020 would you recommend “now”??’ The survey was conducted from Oct. 31 to Nov. 7, and we received 436 answers.
The male-to-female ratio was about 45% to 55%. About 50% of the readers were minors, 25% were in their twenties, which means that the young readers accounted for a large percentage.
*In this survey, 2nd cour, sequel of episodes that were released in this summer, was excluded.
*”Attack on Titan The Final Season” was excluded as the release is scheduled for Dec. 6.
■”Jujutsu Kaisen” is topping the list. Anime OP is also popular.
1st place
1st place went to “Jujutsu Kaisen” with about 14% support ratings.
This is based on a dark fantasy that is being serialized in ‘Weekly Shonen Jump’. The comments praised its immersive action like, ‘The quality of the illustration is high. Especially when the characters use magic, it’s cool.’, ‘ The quality of the video is amazing as well as the story itself. Especially the battle scenes are incredible!!’
Anime OP also got a favorable reputation like, ‘Its opening took my breath away.’
2nd place
2nd place went to “The Day I Became a God” and “‘Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle’ Rhyme Anima” with about 8% support ratings.
“The Day I Became a God” is an original anime produced by Key X ANIPLEX X P.A.WORKS. The comments are, ‘It seems silly, but just a pleasant, daily life. The story taught me that nothing should be taken for granted.’, and ‘The protagonist Narukami is playing various roles, which is interesting. Also, the heroine Hina is too cute.’ Some readers are anticipating the development as it is titled same as the original work, saying ‘I am a fan of Maeda Jun, the original author.’
“‘Hypnosis Mic: Division Rap Battle’ Rhyme Anima” is based on a character rap project “Hypnosis Mic”.
A lot of fans are attracted to the rap battles, saying ‘It is interesting to make a video featuring rapping.’, and ‘Since watching “Hypnosis Mic” I have got into rapping.’
Some readers are anticipating the story development, saying ‘I am curious about the story development of each division.’
As for the male readers only, 1st place went to “The Day I Became a God”, 2nd to “Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina”, and 3rd to “Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM”. As for the female readers only, 1st place went to “Jujutsu Kaisen”, 2nd to “Mr. Osomatsu (The 3rd Season)”, and 3rd to “Golden Kamuy (The 3rd Season)”.
The comments for “Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina”
‘Each episode stands alone. I like thinking about its scenario. The protagonist Elaina is cute.’ ‘The story is depicted from observers’ strict perspective, which brings more reality, and I like it.
For “Is the Order a Rabbit? BLOOM”.
‘I like Chino-chan and Aoyama Blue Mountain-san.’ ‘It makes my heart hopping!’
For “Mr. Osomatsu”.
‘Finally the long-awaited 3rd season! Each episode is going too far, which makes me excited every week.’ ‘Something is different from before, and I cannot predict anything. It is still funny as before, but also it is funny in a different way.’

In this survey, various works have been ranked with a good balance, ranging from original works to sequels. Some works have been postponed due to the spread of COVID-19, such as “Idolish7: Second Beat!”, and made the top 10.
