A new visual and part of the exhibition “Tokusatsu's DNA-Ultraman Genealogy”, which traces the genealogy of the “Ultraman” series and Tsuburaya Productions's works, have been revealed ahead of its opening at Tokyo Dome City from Sep. 5, 2020.
There are four parts of the exhibition that were revealed.
“From the initial “A-type” mask that had a “talking” setting to the “B-type” from episode 14 onwards, to the “C-type” from episode 30 onwards and “Ultraman: The Mystery of Transformation?”, which shows the transition of the three types of masks. Ultra's father, the captain of the Space Guard battalion, and Ultra's mother, the Silver Crusader, appear on the scene “The shocking apparition of Ultra's father and mother!”.
In addition, a bust of Ultraman Leo's suit, which was reinforced and modified from one of the very few surviving suits from the Showa era's “Ultraman” series due to deterioration of materials, will be on display in the “Upper Body of a Martial Artist”. A miniature doll used in the filming of “Ultraman G (Great),” a co-production with Australia, will be on display to tell the story of the heroic figure of “The Greatest Man Back in Australia”.
Besides the above-mentioned parts, expectations are high to what kind of exhibition will be displayed at the venue.
