The manga “The Promised Neverland” (abbreviated as “YakuNeba”), which had also been turned into a TV anime, has reached its final episode in “Weekly Shonen Jump” No. 28 released on Jun. 15, 2020. The final curtain fell on the serialization for about 4 years, and many fans on Twitter wrote thank-you messages to the original writer Shirai Kaiu and the illustrator Demizu Posuka with a hashtag “#ArigatouYakuNeba”.
“The Promised Neverland” was started serializing by the original writer Shirai Kaiu and the illustrator Demizu Posuka in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 2016 and is a dark fantasy whose total number of copies issued surpassed 21 million (including e-versions).
This work depicts children raised in an orphanage, including the main character Emma, head for hope while resisting their extreme hardships.
Following the end of the series of “YakuNeba”, it got so viral that “The Promised Neverland” became a trending topic on Twitter.
Also, fans wrote thank-you messages to the writer with the hashtag “#ArigatouYakuNeba” saying, “Congratulations on the completion of YakuNeba…!!! It was absolutely my favorite work! The courage and thoughts of children younger than me… how many times did they make me moved to cry…!”, “Thank you so much for giving me so much courage. I've always loved it and will forever”, “Since I met YakuNeba, I've been thrilled every day…!”, and “Thank you for the miraculous 4 years.”
The series of “YakuNeba” has ended, but the second season of the TV anime will be broadcast in Fuji TV “Noitamina'' from Jan. 2021, the live-action movie is lined up to be released in Dec. 2020, and the foreign drama adaptation has just been announced. Don't miss out on the future development!
