The streaming platform “PLATTO”, which is specialized in subcultures such as anime, voice actors/actresses, and games, started its service on May 26, 2020. At the same time, the first lineup of performers from the “PLATTO Reading Performance” by voice actors/actresses and 2.5-dimensional actors starting on Jun. 6 was announced.

The service name “PLATTO” is a made-up word that combines “Platform” that represents software and services that form the basis of the system, a Japanese word “Puratto”, which means you can stroll and watch, and “Plat”, which means a map. The idea of the logo design comes from spotlighting the performers even in the streaming space.

It operates with the streaming technology utilizing the function of “SPWN Portal”, which creates a new experience by fusing real and virtual worlds. “PLATTO” will utilize AR and real-time CG, etc. to distribute more advanced services than existing services.

It will also start “PLATTO Reading Performance” using the “PLATTO” system from Jun. 6 to deliver high quality reading performance even in the remote distribution environment.
The performers announced this time include voice actors/actresses: Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Toriumi Kousuke, Hatanaka Tasuku, Yamashita Daiki, Hondo Kaede, Aida Rikako, Sato Takuya, Shibasaki Noriko, Nabatame Hitomi, Fujita Akane, Takatsuka Tomohito, and Terashima Junta. Furthermore, it also includes 2.5-dimensional actors: Kato Sho, Kominami Koji, Ichinose Ryu, and Abe Kaisei.

In the same project, it was revealed following writers will join it: Maruto Fumiaki, from “How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend”, Asaura, Irie Kimihito, Kawagishi Ougyo, Kuibira Harumo, Kotake Kiyohiko, Sasaki Teiko, Sarai Shunsuke, Hyuga Natsu, Fukami Makoto, Mikami Teren, and others.
