Novel "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Kaze no Michishirube" will be on sales! The past of the wind pillar Shinazugawa Sanemi is revealed
It was decided that the 3rd series of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba”, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Kaze no Michishirube(The guidepost of the Wind)” will be released on Jul. 3 by JUMP j BOOKS. This is the 3rd short story series after the 1st series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Shiawase no Hana (The Happiness Flower)”, and 2nd series “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Katahane no Chou (Single Winged Butterfly)”. The past of the wind pillar Shinazugawa Sanemi is revealed throught this book.
The young boy, Sanemi gambled on everything to kill the demon as he didn't know the existence of the Nichirin Blade and the Demon Slayer Corp. After his encounter with the Demon Slayer Corp swordsman, Kumeno Masachika, he was led to the Demon Slayer Corp.
After Sanemi opened his heart to the optimistic and carefree Masachika, he worked hard together with him while aiming to become a “Pillar”. On a certain day, there was an accident where people kept disappearing at a certain mansion, then when the two of them headed toward there to investigate….
In volume 19 of the original work, there is a small episode regarding Shinazugawa Sanemi's encounter with the Demon Slayer Corp swordsman, Kumeno Masachika and how he becomes a pillar, but the novel will depicts it in details.
Other than that, the episode of the popular “Kimetsu Academy” will also be included, as well as the meeting between the Mist Pillar, Tokitou Muichirou, and the Kotetsu from the Blacksmith village, and the secret on the friendship between Inosuke and Kanao.
The cover and illustrations will be drawn by the original author Gotouge Koyoharu, and the first edition will consists of 700,000 copies which is the highest number in the history of JUMP j BOOKS.
The novel “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Kaze no Michishirube” will be released on Jul. 3, 2020 and the price is 700 JPY (tax excluded).
