New Live-Action Drama Starring Kaji Yuki "Pipuru" Releases Poster
WOWOW's original TV drama “Pipuru~AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita~” starring voice actor Kaji Yuki, releases a new teaser poster.
Additional announced cast includes Ayaka Wilson, Ohara Sakurako, Oshinari Shugo, Yamada Yusuke, Usuda Asami, and Hamada Mari.
“Pipuru~AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita~” is based on the novel “Pipuru” by author Harada Mari. It is a Sci-fi comedy taking place in the 2030 year in the future. It touches the theme of coexistence between humans and AI robots. The story revolves around the protagonist Tsumiki Kenichi, a regular office worker who decides to marry a humanoid AI(known as Pipuru) developed by AI researcher Miyama Kaede.
This will be the first role on a serialized TV drama for Kaji, who will be playing the protagonist Tsumiki, a geek in his 30s.
The newly released poster features Tsumiki and Miyama side by side with the AI Pipuru in the middle between them. Surrounding Pipuru , there's a box wireframe simulating a shipping box. Although the show is a comedy, it also has a touch of romance in it.
“Pipuru~AI to Kekkon Seikatsu Hajimemashita~” the original drama by WOWOW will be broadcast on WOWOW Prime from May. 18, 2020. With a total of 8 episodes, the first 2 ones will be broadcast consecutively, with the first episode being at no charge.
