“Voice Cinema Seiyuu Kouen 2020 in Chofu” is a live even where veterans and newcomers voice actors will do a dubbing on the silent movie. It will be held on Mar. 22, 2020 in Chofu City Green Hall, Tokyo. Hazama Michio will in charge of planning, script, and acting also. While Nozawa Masako, Yamadera Kouichi, Takagi Wataru, Ono Daisuke, Kaji Yuuki, Ono Yuuki, Kimura Subaru, Miyazawa Haruna, and Imamura Kazuhiro will in charge of the acting only.

“Seiyuu Kouen” is an event that started in 2006 by Hazama Michio as part of the 50th anniversary on the dubbing of the western movie.
This live event that held annually in different locations will have the voice actor/voice actress dub the famous silent movie and live performance by a famous musician.

For “Voice Cinema Seiyuu Kouen 2020 in Chofu”, the voice dubbing will be done on “The Pawnshop” and “The Adventurer” which star and directed by Charlie Chaplin himself.
The grand lineup of the voice actor/voice actress from different generations that will challenge this voice dubbing includes Hazama Michio, Nozawa Masako, Yamadera Kouichi, Takagi Wataru, Ono Daisuke, Kaji Yuuki, Ono Yuuki, Kimura Subaru, Miyazawa Haruna, and Imamura Kazuhiro.

We have received comments from Hazama Michio who in charge of the planning, script, and acting: “If Chaplin is still alive this year, he would be 131 years old. He produced and released his first silent movie at the age of 25 and despite being a short movie, he was able to produce 35 movies in one year. The speed is at 3 movies per month. His passion and talents which cause all of his works to become famous had overwhelmed the world. I can’t only describe him as a genius. When the work from this great person become from silent to non-silent with the voice of the popular voice actor/ voice actress, it will be “watchable” and “listenable” works!”.

“Voice Cinema Seiyuu Kouen 2020 in Chofu” will be held on Mar. 22, 2020 in Chofu City Green Hall, Tokyo, and there will be an afternoon and night performance. All the tickets have a fixed seating arrangement and the advanced ticket cost 5,500 JPY while on-the-day ticket cost 6,000 JPY. The advanced ticket lottery will start from Feb. 8 in “Lawson Ticket”.
