A completely new story of “DEATH NOTE” will be released for the first time in 12 years, and it will be on “Jump Square” March Issue (in store at Feb.4,2020).
“DEATH NOTE” is a popular mystery originated by Ooba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi, and it have been serialized on “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 2004 to 2006. The work adapted TV anime, live action movie and a musical.
By using “Death Note”, a notebook that murders a person who got his name written, Yagami Raito, also known as “Kira” attempts to murder criminals with his own justice, and world-class detective L fights against him through the mind games.
The completely new short story which will be on March Issue is an another collaboration of Ooba Tsugumi and Obata Takeshi. The first 10 pages of the story was released at “30th Year Anniversary as Manga Author: Obata Takeshi Exhibition NEVER COMPLETE” on Arts Chiyoda 3331 from Jul. 13, 2019 to Aug. 12, 2019. All rough drafts were also released on a manga app called “Shonen Jump+” and it became a sensational topic.
