Which winter anime of 2020 are you looking forward to? Get prepared by watching the trailer marathon event "Tsudukimi"!

The event to prevent everyone from not watching new anime series called “Bokutachi wa Shinsaku Anime no Promotion Eizou wo 3 Jikan Kakete Ikkimi Shitara Donokurai Tsuzuki wo Mitakunaruno Darouka? (Tsudukimi)” (If we watch 3 hours of trailers, how many of the shows will we want to see more of?) was held for the 14th time on Dec. 30, 2019.

“Tsudukimi” is an event to watch 3 hours of trailers of new anime, which is held every quarterly period. This was the 14th event and trailer marathon of 47 titles, mainly TV anime (broadcast from Jan. 2020), were screened.
The host was the announcer Yoshida Hisanori from Nippon Broadcast, as usual, and the Actress/TV personality Yui. The journalist Richard Eisenbeis and the anime-loving idol Noguchi Iori from “=LOVE” also appeared on stage as commentators.

In the early stage of the marathon, the trailer of “Somali and the Forest Spirit” was screened along with the theme song by Moriyama Naotarou. Yoshida talked about his episode with Moriyama when he was an independent record label artist. He says Moriyama has been singing about worlds like this anime since then, giving a seal of approval to the theme song.
Noguchi, as she is a real-life idol, gave a very idol-ish comment on “If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die”, a title that depicts idol freaks, saying the support from a female fan would be very refreshing and makes me purely happy.

When the trailer of “Uchitama?! Have you seen my Tama?”, an anime with anthropomorphized cats (well known in Japan from stationery goods), was screened every one on stage and the online audience were all surprised that such an anime is going to be broadcast on Noitamina.
The following was “Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga”, in which the Sengoku warlords are reincarnated as dogs in the modern world. Everyone was laughing at the cast members name with the Kanji dog (犬) in them like 堀内犬友 (Horiuchi Kenyuu) and 犬上和彦 (Inoue Kazuhiko).

They always have a guest during the event, and this time it was Ashina Minoru, the director of “Isekai Quartet 2”. He gave a presentation of “Is KAD○KAWA an evil organization?” explaining how such a reckless crossover of Isekai titles came true.

Noguchi spouted off the attraction of “A3!” created by P.A WORKS x Studio 3Hz, and Richard explained the charm of the original manga of “Dorohedoro” as “very dark yet humorous”.
Yoshida says he's most looking forward to “Eizouken ni wa Te o Dasu na!” (Keep your hands off Eizouken!), and highly praised the quality of the trailer. Yui, on the other hand, seemed to be very interested in “Twittering Birds Never Fly: The clouds gather” by the Boys' Love label, “Blue Links”.

The second group of guests was; Saiga Shousen and Ishii Nozomi from Twin Engine, and Segawa Akito from Geno Studio, both in charge of “pet” by Miyake Ranjou. Since the spreading of online streaming services, many anime have gained the chance to be watched by people abroad. They say they've created this anime for everyone around the world to enjoy.
The profound drama of the four main characters crossing each others' path goes well with the complex science fiction. Let's look forward to the thoroughly thought out story.

Next came sequels of two popular titles, “A Certain Scientific Railgun T” and “Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story”. “Magia Record” will be directed by Gekidan Inu Curry, which makes people wonder how the Madoka Magica world will be depicted.

The finale of the 3-hour trailer marathon came with three anime films; “High School Fleet: The Movie”, “Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel III. spring song”, and “Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul”. Yoshida read the comments from the publicity department of “Abyss” saying, “It may take some time to come back to the real world after watching”, and was followed by comments on Niconico live such as “An anime we go to see to become depressed”, showing the distorted expectations of everyone.

The event ended with the four on stage expressing their expectations of the animes next season, and their thoughts of the event.
