The world's largest doujinshi sales event “Comic Market 97” is being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koutou Area, Tokyo) from Saturday, Dec. 28. The corporate booth took place at the Aomi Exhibition Hall and there was a large amount of visitors since the first day. Among the booth, there is a strange booth that is selling baseball's bats.
The Akatsuki booth is the one who developed and managed the baseball theme smartphone game “Hachigatsu no Cinderella Nine” (Hachinai). Following its popularity, it had gotten an anime adaptation that was aired from Apr. until Jul., 2019.
The highlights of the booth is the 10,000 JPY (tax included) bat and 30,000 JPY (tax included) baseball glove. The bats are made for practice-swinging and for display purpose so it can't be used in a match, but the gloves can be used in an actual regulation baseball match. This is a rare experience where the participants have the chance to buy baseball related goods in Comiket.
A total of 112 types of good inclusive of goods that can be used while speculating a match and “Hachinai” related goods were sold such as supporting team uniforms, jerseys, sports towel, acrylic stand seal, and others.
As there was a distribution of freebies by the cosplayers in the booth, it had attracted a lot of photographers.
